Recently, Zhejiang Hua Power Co., Ltd. exported 170 units of household-use lithium-ion battery to Myanmar. This marks the first time our company has completed the export of lithium-ion battery products through the Jinhua Customs. Zhejiang Hua Power's export activity has drawn attention from media in Pujiang. Previously, the Pujiang Field Office of the Jinhua Customs proactively provided on-site services, offering comprehensive technical guidance for the export of dangerous goods, thereby facilitating the successful entry of new energy products into overseas markets.
Within Zhejiang Hua Power's production workshop, Jinhua Customs staff provided on-site explanations of lithium battery packaging standards: ‘As dangerous goods, proper short-circuit protection must be implemented, and transport packaging must be securely fixed to prevent movement that could lead to safety hazards.’ Given the unique nature of lithium battery exports, the customs team provided our company with a customised guidance plan covering packaging standards, transport conditions, and foreign regulatory requirements.
The export of lithium batteries involves multiple regulatory procedures, and the customs' on-site services have saved us a lot of hassle. A representative from Zhejiang Hua Power stated that from product declaration to on-site inspection, customs assigned dedicated personnel to oversee the process, conducting rigorous reviews of critical aspects such as hazardous goods packaging and quality safety to ensure compliance with international standards and the importing country's requirements.
The household lithium-ion batteries exported this time cover a wide range of application scenarios, reflecting our company's technical accumulation in the field of energy storage. Relevant local departments in Pujiang stated that the successful export of this batch of products has further enriched the regional export product structure and injected momentum into the cluster development of the new energy industry. In the future, they will continue to promote coordination between upstream and downstream industries in the industrial chain and expand the global market space.
